GF Glass Fiber Posts offer the advantages of carbon fiber, combined with superior esthetic results.
- Posts are used to give retention for reconstruction of nonvital teeth, where the root canal has been endodontically treated
- Consist of strong glass fiber bundles embedded in a special composite
- Mix and naturally bond with cementation and core build-up materials
- The braided plait form of the glass fiber bundles gives the posts superior resistance to bending and torsion forces
- Elasticity is similar to dentin and are noncorrosive and biocompatible
- Fiber content is approximately 65%
- Has passive retention slots instead of active cutting tread
