BioSonic® UC150 Ultrasonic Cleaning System

COLTENE BioSonic® UC150 is an ultrasonic cleaning system for dental instruments, with a 5.7 L working capacity and a choice of countertop or recessed installation. Ultrasonic action and a suitable cleaning solution help remove debris during instrument reprocessing, before the required disinfection or sterilization stages.

Installation and workflow

• Plan for a solid, level surface near a sink or suitable drain connection, with at least 2 inches of clearance behind the unit for ventilation.
• For recessed installation, the Owner’s Guide specifies at least 19 cm (7.5 in.) of clear vertical space below the counter. Use the supplied template and an experienced equipment installer or licensed contractor.
• Use the basket for instruments and cassettes. Optional beakers allow separate cleaning of suitable small items, burs or prostheses using the appropriate solution.

Use an ultrasonic cleaning solution as directed; water alone is not the specified cleaning bath. Follow the UC150 instructions and the instrument manufacturer’s reprocessing guidance.
